I’ve recently had more deeper discussions with my friends, drawing out their limiting beliefs and mental models. I’ve learned so much about how we each are fundamentally distinct personalities but still easygoing with each other. At the same time, we each have dark pools of water in our understanding of the world in which we are still trying to make sense of and we ask each other about.
Even though your life’s work is hard, it’s possible if you know who you are. Who you are is the foundation. Then you can figure out what you want- often times, this changes slightly or maybe even completely. But it follows the same theme so long as you know yourself. Nevertheless, who you are doesn’t change, and what you want can.
You know who you are when you become independent enough to believe what you think and take responsibility for your own actions. This entails not only that you believe what you want, you live what you believe.
“Live the questions first, then what you believe… then you have your own personal style.”Matthew McConaughey, Greenlight
You may not get enough answers, but the thrill is in the questions.
